Outstanding ESP Service Award
The USEA Outstanding ESP Service Award honors Education Support Professionals who make exceptional contributions to their schools, communities, and professions. Nominees must be current USEA members. Each spring, one member from each ESP job category is recognized for outstanding service and dedication to public education and student success. From these honorees, one will be selected as the USEA ESP of the Year and submitted to the National Education Association (NEA) for consideration for the national award.

Lifetime Membership Award
The USEA Lifetime Membership Award honors active or retired members who have shown exceptional dedication and service to Education Support Professionals and the mission of USEA across Utah. Recipients are recognized at the annual USEA Delegate Conference with a plaque and certificate and receive lifetime voting rights and waived state and national dues. USEA employees are not eligible.

Scroll of Honor Award
The USEA Scroll of Honor Award recognizes outstanding service and dedication to Education Support Professionals in Utah and beyond. It is presented annually to a current USEA member who has served or is serving as a local or state officer, board member, or USEA employee whose work advances ESPs and public education.

USEA Scholarship
The USEA Scholarship, funded through the Tim Wangsgaard Memorial Fund, honors the life and legacy of Tim Wangsgaard—a dedicated head custodian, father, and USEA Executive Board member known for his service to others. Established after his passing in 2016, the scholarship continues his commitment to supporting Education Support Professionals and their families in achieving their academic and career goals. Eligibility extends to active USEA members with at least one year of membership and to their children, grandchildren, or legal dependents who are pursuing education or training.

USEA Honorary Award
The USEA Honorary Award recognizes individuals who have shown exceptional respect for and dedication to Education Support Professionals. Presented annually, this award honors those outside the ESP community and non-members of USEA who demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting ESPs and advancing their role in public education and student success.

U-RISE Award
The Utah RISE (Recognizing Inspiring School Employees) Award honors outstanding Education Support Professionals who demonstrate excellence, dedication, and commitment to Utah’s students and schools. Established under Utah Code 53G-11-519 and aligned with the federal Recognizing Achievement in Classified School Employees Act, this award highlights the vital role of ESPs in supporting student learning and success. Each year, USEA, the statewide association representing Education Support Professionals, submits nominees to the Governor, who selects one individual to represent Utah for the national RISE Award.
